From analyzing complex legal frameworks to reporting from the heart of breaking news, his career journey reflects a deep commitment to uncovering truth, shaping narratives, and connecting with diverse audiences. With close to 15 years of combined experience in legal research, journalism, media relations, strategic communications, and digital marketing, he brings a unique blend of precision, insight, and storytelling to every role he undertakes.

After graduating from UiTM, he began his career as a Legal Officer, where he was part of the core research team tasked with a comparative study of Malaysia’s Internal Security Act (ISA) and similar laws in other countries. The team’s findings, presented to the Minister of Home Affairs and later tabled in Parliament, contributed to the historic repeal of the ISA, a law long criticized as draconian.

He later transitioned into media, joining Utusan Malaysia as a journalist, where he progressed from cadet reporter to full-time journalist on the General News and Political Desk before being appointed as Sarawak Correspondent for five years. His reporting covered major national events, including the Sarawak helicopter crash tragedy (5 May 2016), fatal boat capsizing incidents, the Sarawak State Election, the Malaysian General Elections, Parliamentary sessions, State Assembly sittings, and high-profile criminal cases. Upon returning to headquarters, he joined the International Affairs Desk, reporting on global political developments and diplomatic issues.

Today, he serves as the Head of Media & Public Relations, leading the company’s media engagement strategy, maintaining strong networks with journalists and stakeholders, and forging collaborations that strengthen brand visibility. He also develops strategic communication plans, high-impact copywriting, and digital marketing initiatives to support the organization’s growth and positioning.

His professional expertise spans stakeholder engagement, strategic messaging, crisis communication, political and policy analysis, and integrating AI-driven tools into modern communications. Guided by the belief that effective communication is both an art and a responsibility, he remains ready and excited to connect with others, share knowledge, and apply his skills to create meaningful impact.
